Curated by art historian Charlene Vella, the exhibition marks an important milestone in Borg’s artistic evolution, showcasing his dynamic transition toward bold abstraction, intensified colour, and expressive gesture.

A New Direction for Fabio Borg

Over the past several years, Borg’s artistic language has undergone a notable transformation. Previously known for compositions that hovered between representation and emotional resonance, he now fully embraces the freedom of abstraction.
In Echoes in Form, familiar forms give way to expressive fields of energy. Shapes loosen, colours intensify, and the paintings become reflections of sensation, memory, and atmospheric presence.

 

Colour as Architecture

A defining feature of this new body of work is Borg’s heightened use of colour. His palette has grown more assertive, layered, and vibrant, functioning not merely as embellishment but as the structural force of each composition. Through colour, Borg creates rhythm, tension, and harmony – forming dynamic works that feel both intuitive and meticulously considered.
