The company Fire Point has delivered another batch of Flamingo cruise missiles to Ukrainian defenders, according to photojournalist Yefrem Lukatskyi.

"While pseudo-journalists and bloggers under the guidance of Russian propaganda are shouting that all is lost, the company Fire Point has transferred another batch of Flamingo missiles to the military," he wrote.

Lukatskyi also noted that the company manufactures FP‑1 drones, which are used in more than 50% of all launches targeting Russian territory.

What is known about the Flamingo missile

In September this year, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine is actively developing long‑range weapons. He stated that testing had been successful, and the next stage is launching serial production.

Ukraine has begun serial production of Flamingo cruise missiles with a flight range of up to 3,000 kilometers. According to the President, they will reach mass production by the end of the year.

The Flamingo has the following publicly announced technical characteristics:

• Range: 3,000 km
• Time in the air: over 4 hours
• Maximum speed: 950 km/h
• Cruise speed: 850–900 km/h
• Wingspan: 6 meters
• Maximum takeoff weight: 6 tons
• Warhead weight: 1 ton

According to Western media, Flamingo missiles surpass U.S. Tomahawk cruise missiles in certain characteristics. In particular, they carry a larger warhead and have a longer flight range.

  1. No matter where that thing comes down it cerainly has enough punch to remind the orcs they must invent ridiculous lies to cover up the inevitable debris as according to their plans. 1 ton warhead – halleluja.

Also clear with that takeoff weight, possible payload weight and range it can carry a stick that might work as deterrent in the future.

  2. I cant wait till they have these in full production and can send large salvos at a time. Anyone else feel like this war may just be getting ready to swing back the other direction, between the Russian economy imploding, the kinetic sanctions, the other sanctions, and Ukraine becoming more militarily self sufficient? Maybe Im just optimistic but its really starting to look like there may be a silver lining as long as we keep supporting Ukraine for the next little while.

  3. 4. When I sat on Santas lap, he asked me. Son, what do you want this Christmas? I replied, to see videos on Reddit of row of MIGs and SUKOIs burning.

  5. A 1 ton warhead is amazing. Planners are going to have a lot of fun selecting targets.
