Julia Ann Cluett, Malta’s representative at the Miss Universe contest, received a warm welcome at the airport on Saturday when she returned home from her adventure in Thailand.

Cluett made it to the top 12 at the finals – a first for the island in the competition’s 74-year history. 

She was also the only European to be chosen for the finals and was crowned the Continental Queen for Europe. 

More than 120 women vied for the title of Miss Universe.
