A 46 per cent decline in betting GGR year-on-year was the headline for Denmark’s gambling market in October.

Betting GGR fell from DKK208m (US$32.4m) in October 2024 to DKK112m ($17.5m), the Danish Gambling Authority reported.

However, it was the only vertical to see a drop in GGR. Online casino revenue rose 24.5 per cent from DKK286m ($44.6m) to DKK356m ($55.5m), while gaming machines revenue and land-based casino revenue were both largely flat at DKK97m ($15.1m) and DKK31m ($4.8m), respectively.

Total revenue across all verticals fell 3.4 per cent from DKK620m ($96.7m) to DKK599m ($93.4m).

Month-on-month, total revenue rose 9.3 per cent from DKK548m ($85.4m) in September to DKK599m ($93.4m).
