  1. I know 2 people who voted for Brexit – both pensioners.

One’s since died, the other hasn’t got long left.

  2. I don’t believe they’ve all just died out.

Some have realised their mistake, others don’t like to talk about it in public anymore…

  3. LET’S DO IT.
Whatever the Brexiteers wanted, it’s pretty obvious the people they picked to implement it couldn’t deliver it. Yet to hear any other proposals to fix it. The only justification I hear is “we had a vote”. Well, we can bloody well have another vote. I’m sick of public services having no money for the sake of their egos. It’s remarkable how stunningly little this has achieved, although I bet Russia is pleased.

  4. Crazy to think that the demographic shift would have changed the brexit result if the referendum was just delayed for a few years.

  5. Considering how marginal the “victory” was, and the sheer volume of people being interviewed the day of the results saying they “voted leave for a laugh” because they didn’t think it would win, I’m pretty sure the pro-brexit “majority” was dead within 24 hours.

  6. Unfortunately I very much doubt the EU would be open to it. I used to think it was plausible, but since Reform really took off it seems implausible.

  7. Imagine living in a country where we have to wait until the neighbouring country decide if they want us to be in the E.U. or not

  8. Genuine question, has there honestly never been any Brexit poll in the past 9½ years that’s indicated the public is happy with the decision to leave?

Seems like every poll I’ve ever seen shows that folk were struck with immediate regret from day one, has there been any contentment over this from regular people, like, at all?

I know Brexit’s a shitshow, but surely leave voters we’re happy with something… right?

  9. All things being static…. great.

But we know now that all things are *not* static. While it is much harder to obfuscate what the vote will mean (What joining the EU means is obviously **very** clear), we’ll have the same lying pricks making all manner of shit up about what the application of that will mean for the UK. Most notably, they’ll be lying about hordes (that’s the word we use for foreigners, isn’t it?) piling into the UK to steal our women and our jobs etc…

  10. Joining the Customs Union would be a good start if it can be fastracked well before the next election.. show people the benefits, then build momentum. Country is screwed otherwise, economically.

  11. Literally all my family members that I’m aware of that either voted for, or were in favour of, Brexit have now passed away. I imagine this is a trend seen across the country.

Why we can’t hold another referendum now is beyond me.

  12. My mother voted for Brexit – essentially to control borders. But she also said “I didn’t think it would be so complicated to leave and cause so many issues after”.

Love my mum – but like the population at large – she shouldn’t have been asked to comment on a major constitutional question.
