This is over the top. Other countries dont ask for social media background, I am sure China has mine anyway, but they do ask for some pretty intrusive stuff. Arriving in China I had all my fingerprints taken and facial recognition data captured. I haven’t been there in 3 or 4 years so not sure what they are up to now. I visited India and was asked my religion, and if anyone in my family, going back several generations, I think it was 4, was a native of Pakistan to get my visa. I havent had to use the new UK or EU app yet.
