Well, *someone* has to remind people coming into the city.
A true Londoner is never offended by anything.
You’re just proving his marketing campaign is working by talking about it, it’s easier just to ignore it anyway
The bellends are the thieves targeting vulnerable people.
He’s a comedian, pretty standard stuff and interesting way to gain engagement.
I do not get the hype of the office was just ok for me, his stand up I have seen bits and is ok….. golden globes now that I found very funny.
I mean. Yes. How is this bad, again.
Ricky has basically become Andy Millman when he becomes famous and egotistical in Extras.
However, I do think this is a funny poster.
What’s got you so worked up?
How is this being a bellend?
He ain’t wrong
Am I being dumb as I don’t see a problem?
The truth hurts
But is he wrong though
Just thank God its not James Corden
Is he wrong though lol
Lmao op chill my dude
You just gave him a ton more free media by posting his tube ad on an entirely new platform.
That aside, I don’t see how he’s a bellend.
So you’re offended by an advert now
Genuinely, what do you find offensive about this ad?
The ad isn’t wrong…
TFL telling people to mind their belongings = Good and responsible
Gervais saying the same thing = Evil white male bigot
Why would anyone get mad about this? Over 50,000 phones got snatched last year, it’s a good reminder to be careful.
What’s wrong with this? Literally phone snatchers are everywhere in London. How are you literally
Offended by this? It’s a good reminder to hold into your phone
I normally roll my eyes at his whole “people get offended over everything these days” schtick. Then I open this app and see a post like this…
And before anyone says “where did OP say they were offended?”, let’s be *absolutely* clear here, snapping an advert and uploading it to reddit to look for like-minded validation about its tone/content which you don’t like implies at least *some* level of offence.
What’s so controversial about this? he’s pointing out how bad phone theft is in the capitol
My least favourite one is the knife crime one. Playing into an annoying American right wing talking point: yes, London knife crime is a problem. The city also has a lower rate of knife crime than any other major city in the US, and near non-existent gun crime
Let’s be honest, though, he’s right
I’ve never seen Ricky Gervais as a bellend at all, he’s awesome. He just donated £2.5 million to an animal charities, if anything we need more people like him.
Bellends are people defending the thieves
He is a comedian who got paid a boat load of money to promote some alcoholic beverage. Instead of being mad at him, maybe be mad at the politicians who have created the problems he is joking about in the ads.
It is disgusting how crime has spiked in London and elsewhere over the years. Knife crime, stolen phones, stolen watches, car crime, gang crimes and so on. *THAT* is the problem. Not some comedian getting paid to joke around.
Gervais has done some amazing award winning work over the years, and I am not sure what you think makes him a ‘bellend.’

This seems pretty inoffensive to me.Â
This is sort of funny, no?
