I have wondered how much effort is needed to find good stuff and real bargain on that site, cos the predominance seems to be absolute junk of the lowest order.Â
Cos it’s funny how “Temu <blah>” has quickly come to mean “total cheap crap”.
It isn’t the fulfilment centres. They’ve their EU HQ based in Dublin.
I was previously speaking with a financial reporter and he mentioned that this is a shady company. Although they sell goods on their website, their financial reports don’t add up. They’re taking money from investors and telling investors that their sales are a lot higher than they actually are. Also, their CEO often deflects questions away from their reports.
How exactly do we tackle climate change when you have companies telling us to “shop like a billionaire”. It’s easier than ever to buy low grade junk. Are we just doomed as species? That’s how I see it.
So the child slave labour that make the stuff is not the issue then?
I wonder if they found anyone there at the time
I will have a mini celebration to myself if this crappy company gets shut down
Just another reminder that the people behind Temu also made Pinduoduo which was a shopping platform app with info stealing and phone spying capabilities. (inb4 “sure they all do that”, this is much different).
Uninstall Temu from your phone.
They seized tens of euros in assets.
Every time I go to the app store Temu is always the very top of the ‘suggested for you’ list and/ or popular apps. I wonder if they’re massively bribing Google to be on the top of the list in the app store.
I don’t have any intention of ever installing Temu, nor have I ever installed it in the past.
Oh God, I hope my totally genuine branded shower bag is ok…
Why does Temu have a Dublin office to begin with
can someone explain to me why Temu is worse than any other similar website? There seems to be a particular hatred for Temu over something like Ali express
