What fight? Our virulently anti trans media have been framing the outcome of the recent court case as a huge win for Peggie, and a total vindication of her upstanding, glowing character. Why the need to appeal if she won her case? More fool me for thinking our press/media have been presenting the outcome of that case with the unbiased, unvarnished facts. 🙃

The first thing she did after the result was stand with her lawyer while they lied about the result, and then deliberately misgendered Dr Upton. I don’t see her appeal going well. But it sure will get lots of donations!

I’ve used many NHS changing rooms during my career and never spotted any genitalia. However, I’m a guy – what goes on in female changing rooms?
Imagine being a dr just trying to live your life and save people and some nurse you only probably ever see in the changing has a weird agenda against you because of your genitals. And then most media report about and misgender you because of your genitals. Its ridiculous. You and your employer win your case overall and this nurse you dont even know is trying to sue you for a 2nd time. Like surely just asking to change shifts so you dont see the trans person was a much cheaper option than this ?

Not sure what the purpose of appealing it is, given that the tribunal found against her employer on the harassment claim and her employer changed their policy so changing facilities are single-sex. Is it worth the additional stress? I wish her well anyway, she’s been through a great deal already.
The important thing is the BBC continue to report on everything she ever says, thinks or does. God imagine if they gave such fawning coverage to the woman who’s life got dragged through the national mud over this….
When did Nurses decide it was ok to despise certain kind of people? And who is getting naked at work in front of their colleagues. When did we start giving transphobes and hate speakers the time of day. If we just ignore her she will starve of attention n go away.

The judgement was flawed in many places, completely misquoting other trials to change the meaning of statements shouldn’t be brushed under the carpet.
Neither side gains anything from faulty judgements
