In Sept. 2025 Trump said “Kyiv could reclaim all territory with EU/NATO aid.” By Dec. he’s pushing Zelenskyy to “accept things” and cede land, saying Ukraine is “losing.” Trump repeats what the last person told him, he’s repeated Putin’s rhetoric as well. Attention span of a hamster or fruit fly.

1. Trump should be removed from office before he does something stupid like sending US troops to die for Russia.

2. While it’s true that Trump is usually influenced by the last person he spoke to, I find that his default position is always sympathetic to the russian line. He might be nudged off of it here and there, especially if he speaks to a charismatic pro-Ukrain voice, but he usually falls back to parroting russian talking points pretty quickly. And ofcourse his entire cabinet is full of pro-russia voices, so that’s all he hears on a regular basis.

    Stop reacting to every “trump said” headline. The reality is that the EU failed Ukraine miserably and Russia will never give those territories back in our lifetime. The sooner the war ends, the less people will die and that’s the most important thing. The world changed completely and EU should focus on staying relevant otherwise we’ll just slowly disappear.

15. I’ve said for years that Trump’s perspective is heavily influenced by the last person he speaks to – sometimes that’s Putin over the phone. It was insane to vote him into the Whitehouse a second time, regardless of opinion on his votes.
