MALTA, Mont. – The Phillips County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) is asking for public assistance following a hit and run incident that took place on private property in Malta on Saturday. According to PCSO, the incident occurred between 1:15 p.m. and 4 p.m.

The incident reportedly involved a suspect vehicle that was likely spinning donuts in a private lot located between the Hitchin Post and Dairy Queen. The driver lost control and struck a parked pickup truck belonging to a shop tenant.

Authorities believe the suspect vehicle is a GM pickup truck, which is expected to have damage to the driver’s side taillight area.

Undersheriff Jordan Arthur is urging anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the suspect vehicle to contact the Phillips County Sheriff’s Office at 406-654-2350.
