1. Why? Do Gardaí increase their presence at Chinese events if they’re the victims of an attack in West Africa etc etc. Seems a very strange response to events completely unrelated to the situation in Ireland.

3. Let me precede my actual comment with condemnation of this horrible attack and say it’s truly awful and should never, EVER happen to any community…

   However, Alan Shatter using this attack to attack Irish politicians on their rhetoric and blaming them for stoking tensions in Ireland is fucking horrendous as well. I have zero love for Harris and Martin but to equate this awful incident with Irish views on Israel and Gaza is beneath contempt.

   People in Ireland celebrating their faith deserve to do so in peace and safety.

   The efforts made by Israel to conflate Zionism and Judaism have been disastrous for Jews in the wake of Israel’s genocide.
   Ahmed Al Ahmed is a hero and deserves to be treated as such.

   Nethanyahu is already laying the blame for this attack upon Australia’s support for a Palestinian state.
   Claiming that supporting a Palestinian state is carte Blanche for anti-Semitism in Australia.
   For Israel, this is really just an opportunity to lay blame and claim victim hood.

   Condolences to the families and friends of those murdered.
   Lives cut short and futures stolen.
   May their memories become a blessing.

9. I feel like it’s only a matter of time before something like that happens here. Also, Israel’s actions are harming Jews worldwide, even if they don’t want anything to do with that state, and then you have scum like these murdering low lives attacking Jews who might also not want to be associated with Israel because of that state’s actions.

11. Judaism is the only religion in the West that needs security guards at its place of worship as standard. This is a pre-Oct 7th thing; they’ve always needed extra security. It’s always been this way, but it doesn’t have to stay that way.
