A male is fighting for his life in hospital, while another is under arrest, following a stabbing in Toronto’s west end on Sunday afternoon.
The incident happened in the Humber Heights-Westmount neighbourhood, in the area of Lockheed Boulevard and Westona Street, near Dixon and Scarlett roads.
Toronto police said they were called to the scene just before 3:30 p.m. for reports of a male who had been stabbed.
There, officers found a male with a stab wound. He was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, they said.
Paramedics told CTV News Toronto that they transported one person to a trauma centre in life-threatening condition.
A second male was arrested on scene, Toronto police said, noting there is no risk to public safety.
