Everything Trump is doing in Venezuela involves oil and regime change—even if the White House won’t admit it. The seizure of a massive oil tanker this week is a sign of Trump’s increasing involvement in South America’s petroleum politics. Venezuela is home to the world’s largest oil reserves.

1. I know oil still drives the world, but it feels a bit old school to wage wars because of oil, most countries aims to get rid of it.

2. The USS Titan Trump, the new American super tanker was renamed at Sea, off Venezuela by President Trump, now steaming to Houston to unload trumps 2 million gallons of oil.

   There is also considerable mineral wealth for them to steal.

4. Venezuelan crude is gunky and gross but US refineries in Texas and Louisiana are set up to process it. They can’t process the light crude that comes from fracking so they import the nasty stuff from the three countries in the world that have it: Canada, Russia and Venezuela.

5. The idiots behind this strategy don’t seem to realize what it would take to control the country and oil. And that despite having the example of Iraq still very fresh.
