  1. Soon Europe will have economic migrants coming from here just to survive.

  2. That’s what happens to a country enamoured by rightwing governments.

We always go for Thatcherite type governments and then act surprised when nothing gets better.

  3. Honestly, if it was quarter of the price? I’d take the London apartment.
Swap the bed for a fold-up, change the table/chair for a desk, get a projector goin’?
    It’d be lovely.

No galvanised steel or eco-friendly wood veneers required.

  4. I would rather have the London apartment and it isn’t even close.

  5. They pay higher taxes, have lower inequality, and much much lower re-offending rates. Basically stuff the vast majority of the political right in the UK get hysterical over if it’s even suggested.

  6. Sweden care about silly things like ‘reducing recidivism’

  7. Inane comparison. The £2k London apartment also comes with quick access to one of the financial and cultural epicenters of human civilization. London is extremely expensive because it’s one of the best cities on the planet.

  8. i know it’s just a joke, but you can get a nice all be it small 2 bed in a lot of London Z2 for about £1,400 a month. Which seems like a lot, but then you go visiting people outside of London and you see what you are paying for.

  9. What does one have to do to get one of those luxury Swedish apartments?

  10. I still love the Swedish approach tho, iirc their reoffending levels are low af. Oh and fuck landlords and people who use property as an investment, they’re the ones driving the prices up to 2k/mo for shitholes.

  11. All the people jokingly saying they’d head over to Sweden and commit a crime should just stay here and do one, take out those two small lights and stick one on the ceiling and you have a British prison cell, sure you would have to give it a bit of a mop and scrub to look as good as this one, but everything else is the same.

Assuming you are a high risk offender and so got a single cell, if not then that would be a bunk bed. Also you’d have a TV, kettle and en-suite, well its not even an en-suite, its even more convenient its in the same room
