With days remaining before Christmas, festive fans don’t have long to stock up on last-minute treats. For anyone seeking an attention-grabbing dessert, Iceland could have just the thing. The supermarket is stocking a £4 Baileys dessert that’s seriously impressed shoppers.

On Iceland’s website, customers heaped praise on the Baileys 12 Macarons 132g, which shoppers can find by searching the supermarket’s website. ‘Flavoured with the Taste of Baileys,’ the box of twelve macarons includes three flavours: coffee, chocolate, and salted caramel. At the time of writing, the dessert has an average rating of 4.5 stars out of five, with reviewers sharing loving the ‘delicious’ and ‘enjoyable’ dessert.

One happy reviewer wrote: “I love these. Stunning Baileys flavour. Will defiitely buy again.” A second fan said: “Just love them, can’t wait to get more.” Someone else agreed: “Loved these and enjoyed all three flavours, can’t fault them,” and a fan shared: “All three flavours delicious.”

Not everyone was so pleased, though. A different shopper claimed: “Besides the concentrated taste of sugar, you can barely taste the Baileys.” Sharing another drawback, someone else praised the flavour but said they wished the desserts were larger.

Their review explained: “Love them, they are delicious and the taste of Baileys does come through. Why so small though? They are tiny.” A similar response read: “Great macarons, they defrost quickly and have a great Baileys flavour. Why so small though? These are tiny.”

Despite these comments, there was still a lot of praise. A fan wrote: “My favourite was the Baileys macaron. It has such a lovely, strong taste of Baileys.” Someone else thought: “Undeniable Bailey’s taste. Very enjoyable.”

For shoppers seeking something different, Iceland offers a selection of Baileys desserts, with many currently on offer, reports the Mirror. For example, the supermarket has reduced the Baileys Iced Yule Log 595g from £8 to £4. The product description says the yule log includes Baileys salted caramel mousse, dark chocolate sauce and chocolate-flavoured meringue, sprinkled with a gold coloured cocoa dusting.

The Baileys Crème Brûlée 395g has also been discounted from £7 to £3.50. The description says the dessert has Baileys set custard, topped with demerara sugar. A different feal Baileys Caramel Pavlova Stack 480g reduced from £10 to £5. For £3, Iceland also sells Baileys 4 Mince Pies. The description says the desserts are made from vine fruit mincemeat containing brandy, port and candied mixed peel filled into shortcrust pastry cases.

The description adds that the mince pies are topped with an Irish cream liqueur buttercream, with a sprinkling of gold coloured sugar decoration and a sweet dusting. Once more, the dessert impressed shoppers. One reviewer wrote: “These were the best mince pies I’ve had so far this year.

“The pastry was crumbly and buttery with a generous amount of fruit inside, and the Bailey’s buttercream was filled with Baileys flavour and plentiful. They were finished with a lovely gold candy so not only did they taste fantastic but also looked great. Will certainly be buying more.” Another fan said: “The Bailey’s mince pies are extremely nice. I would highly recommend them but be warned they are addictive.”
