Croatia today joined the joint procurement of Tatra off-road military trucks with the Czech Republic and Slovakia, which allows it to order up to 420 trucks, the Croatian Ministry of Defense announced.

The ministry signed an agreement in Prague today that allows Croatia to order up to 420 Tatra T-815-7 trucks for 212 million euros with delivery by 2030.

The first order has already been placed, and 98 trucks will be delivered to the Armed Forces in 2026, of which 78 are 6×6 vehicles and 20 are 8×8 vehicles, worth around 50 million euros.

The procurement of military trucks is financed by the European Union (EU) through the SAFE financial instrument.

The statement states that by joining the joint procurement, Croatia has ensured faster equipping of the army with the necessary military vehicles, reduced procurement costs, deepened military cooperation with allies, increased interoperability with partner armies, and simpler logistical support through fleet unification.

The Framework Agreement is open to public purchasers of military products from European Union and NATO member states, and is implemented through individual orders, the Croatian Ministry of Defense specified.
