Total Executions in 2025 Reach 2,038, Including 61 Women

According to reports received by Wednesday afternoon, December 17, sixty-two prisoners, including three women, were executed between December 13 and December 17. The actual number of executions, especially on December 17, is believed to be much higher and will be announced after verification. This brings the total number of recorded executions this year to an unprecedented 2,038, with two weeks remaining in 2025. Sixty-one of the victims were women.

On Wednesday, December 17, thirteen prisoners were hanged: Mohammad Baghlani in Bushehr, Sajjad Farahmand in Chabahar, Mehrshad Asgari in Damghan, Parviz Shabani in Mashhad, Yarvali Azimi in Kashmar, Ebrahim Azizi in Malayer, Karamkhoda Yari in Sabzevar, Majid Tajik in Shiraz, Faramarz Papi in Shahr-e Kord, Osman Ahmadi in Mahabad, and Razieh Abbasi and two other prisoners in Qezel Hesar Prison.

On Tuesday, December 16, seven prisoners were sent to the gallows: Mahmoud Din-Mohammadi in Birjand, Mohammad Khani in Bam, Nejat Rajabi in Jiroft, Ata Shahsavari in Khaf, Khorasan Razavi province, Ghobad Fathollahi in Ilam, Keyhan Abbasi in Borazjan, and Alimohammad Roshanfekr in Ahvaz.

On Monday, December 15, thirteen prisoners were executed: Heydar Amiri, 32, in Sabzevar; Bahman Hosseini in Gorgan; Ehsan Nadimi and Reza Shakouri in Rasht; Milad Sheikhi and two other prisoners in Isfahan; Qanbar Safari in Dorud; Zahed Eslami in Kashan; a prisoner with the surname Khorrami in Zanjan; Mohammad Bameri in Kerman; Amirhossein Rasouli in Saveh; and Maziar Falahati in Neyshabur.

On Sunday, December 14, thirteen prisoners were hanged: Khalegh Zolfaghari, 30, Jasem Saqaei, and another prisoner in Yazd; Mohammad Rahimi in Gorgan; Farhad Abdoli in Dezful; Mohammad Dinari in Arak; Abolfazl Dana in Ardabil; Khalil Emkani in Bandar Abbas; Sadegh Abdi in Qazvin; Soltan Morad Aslanpour in Tabriz; Yaser Sakizadeh in Qom; a prisoner in Borujerd; and Mohammad Amin Bakhtiari in Semnan.

On Saturday, December 13, the regime’s henchmen executed 16 prisoners: Kiumars Bahrami, 29, Ali Aitivand, 35, Mohammad Karimi, and Ehsan Yari in Karaj Central Prison; Manouchehr Ramezani, 26, and a female prisoner, Hamideh Jabbari, in Qom; Hassan Torki in Yasuj; a prisoner with the surname Golmohammadi in Nahavand; Hamzeh Sarlak in Dezful; Gholam Saljouqi in Hamedan; Farshid Segvand in Aligudarz; Hosseinali Koulivand and Kakamorad Jafari in Khorramabad; Aziz Alimoradi and another prisoner in Kermanshah; and Sedigheh Ghorbani in Urmia.

Besieged by internal and external crises and at the nadir of his weakness, the regime’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, is vainly trying to prevent an explosion of popular anger and the overthrow of his regime by intensifying slaughter and executions.
