Ok, get this straight… he took the (already approved by Congress) funds for our soldier’s housing, pretended it comes from tariffs, slapped his name on the check… and he thinks it’s enough to bribe soldiers into committing war crimes. Hooray for him!

  1. $1,776 is what is being given **back**. How much are they taking out? $2,000? $2,500?

  2. Soldiers can do math, especially the artillery corps. Ok so maybe not the Marines but Space Force for sure!

  3. Housing money is a tax-free stipend. The repackaged money is a bonus that’s taxable income. So, Trump will effectively taking a portion back. Very much on brand.

  4. Let’s just say it- it’s not about committing war crimes, he’s hoping to buy loyalty to prevent a coup.

  5. $1776 × 1,450,000 = $2,575,200,000

He said $1776. He said 1.45 million people. Where this money coming from?

It comes from soldier’s housing funds from congress?

  6. To be fair, it’s working for him. I haven’t seen anyone in the military say “no” yet.

  7. He’s counting on them being dumb enough not to notice or remember.

  8. I’m suprised he’s not taking a small cut out of each check. Processing fee?

  9. It worked with the Covid checks why not keep doing it?

  10. Robbing Paul to pay Paul so Paul thinks he’s getting a bonus.

  11. You underestimate how poorly paid the uniform services are.

  12. It is just a trick to find dumb soldiers.

“So how many of you are happy that you got the Trump military bonus? Excellent! All you gentlemen have also gotten a promotion. All of you will be reporting directly to the Secretary of War crimes.”

  13. But the real joke is, its the back pay from the shutdown.

  14. You would be surprised how impressed his base is by this kind of crap. Not slamming the military but morons who join the military would eat this stuff up. “Woah look at mah Prezadent sendin me them fancy face checks! Now thatsa warrior leeder I’d march ta hail fer!”

  15. And taxed it like income, instead of tax-free reimbursement!

  16. Then they should ask for their housing stipend after they cash those checks! Sue them if they don’t cough up!

  17. “See how Joe Biden never stole money from the approved military housing allowance and gave it back, pretending it was a bonus from him?”

  18. I sure hope he signs all 1.4 million checks personally, because apparently presidential signatures are invalid otherwise… 😛

  19. It’s absolutely ** more than enough** to brine solders. They worship him already, this just solidifies their undying loyalty.

  20. Veterans voted for Trump over Harris 65% to 34%. So yes, I do think they’ll fool themselves into accepting this latest insult.

  21. Remember, he has to push you into the pond first so he can rescue you.

This is just what he does.

  22. dont forget he delayed desperately needed covid checks during his bungling of covid response, just so he could put his name on them and get his culties to think the money was from him. and it worked.

  23. Yes, he thinks that, but before we mock him for it, let’s see if he’s right.

  24. And it works. MAGA eats that shit right up. He had his signature put on the memo line of the covid checks and had them all mailed instead of direct deposited. That way people would think they were from him personally. I thought that was stupid, there is no way anyone would think that. Had to drive my MIL somewhere a few weeks later. And she was all happy that the orange traitor wrote her a check from his personal account to help her get by. It just baffled my mind.

Lower enlisted military are mostly MAGA. They’ll believe he did them a favor when congress or someone made their housing pay going down. It’ll never occur to them that he literally just took the money from the one pay bucket and put it in another with his name on it.
