The Finland Rookie Fest 2026 heads to Iso-Syöte Snowpark, bringing together the World Rookie Tour and Suomi Cup for a weekend of slopestyle and big air dedicated to the next generation of snowboarder
The Finland Rookie Fest Iso-Syöte 2026 will take place this winter at Iso-Syöte Snowpark, Finland, one of the most iconic freestyle destinations in Finnish Lapland. The event will unite the national Suomi Cup with the international World Rookie Tour, creating a high-level competition focused on progression, experience and real contest vibes for young snowboarders.
The event will mark the opening stop of the Suomi Cup season in January, while simultaneously hosting the World Rookie Tour Finland Rookie Fest. Riders will compete in slopestyle and big air, two disciplines designed to reward progression, control, and creativity. The competition is open to Kids, Groms, Rookies and Open categories, offering a structured contest environment for different age groups and experience levels.
As an official World Rookie Tour stop, the Finland Rookie Fest will award World Rookie Rank points, contributing to seasonal rankings and supporting riders aiming to qualify for the World Rookie Finals, where the World Rookie Champion titles are decided. Beyond results and podiums, the event focuses on learning how to compete, sharing sessions with peers, and gaining valuable international contest experience.
Provisional Event Program
The event will begin on Friday, January 16, with open training sessions throughout the day, on-site registration in the afternoon and an online riders’ meeting in the evening.
Saturday, January 17, will be dedicated to Slopestyle, starting with Kids and Groms in the morning, followed by Rookie and Open categories in the afternoon and the official prize ceremony.
On Sunday, January 18, the focus will shift to Big Air, following a similar structure and closing the event with final prize ceremonies in the afternoon.
The schedule may be subject to changes depending on weather and snow conditions.

Riders must register in advance, as on-site registrations will not be accepted.
Entry fees are €25 for one discipline or €35 for two disciplines, allowing riders to compete in slopestyle, big air or both.
Competitors will also benefit from discounted accommodation at Kide Hotel and reduced lift ticket prices for riders and coaches.
