The Slovakia national team is confident that it will be able to eliminate Kosovo in the March play-offs to qualify for the final.
Former footballer Pavol Farkas, now the closest person to coach Calzona, has confirmed that Slovakia has begun analyzing Kosovo, while they consider it a very “unpleasant” opponent.
“Preparations are underway. We have most of the important things ready. We know who we are playing against. Even though they are not seen as the strongest national team on paper, they are a very unpleasant opponent.”
“They have a German coach and a well-organized team, with many excellent individuals who play in top leagues throughout Europe. Nothing easy awaits us. I believe that with the fans we will succeed and we will go to the final,” he declared.
Both Kosovo and Slovakia have a golden opportunity for the World Championship, especially since they are hosting the final as home teams, where they will meet the winner of the other semi-final, Turkey – Romania.
As a reminder, the match between Slovakia and Kosovo will take place on March 26, with the final being played five days later. The qualified national team will be in the World Cup group with the USA, Australia and Paraguay./Telegraph/
