Bratislava’s M. R. Štefánik Airport has recorded a network expansion with the launch of seven new direct destinations, driven by the growing operational footprint of Wizz Air at the airport. Newly introduced services connect Bratislava with Oslo, Alicante, Athens, Basel, Niš, Naples, and Palermo, increasing the number of available travel options from Slovakia’s capital. The additions coincide with fleet growth at the local base, where a second aircraft has already been deployed and further deliveries are scheduled for 2026. Seven New Routes Added to the Bratislava Network
Three of the newly launched routes—Oslo, Alicante, and Athens—were introduced during the same week, marking the first phase of the expansion. The Oslo service has been scheduled to operate three times per week, adding a direct Nordic connection from Bratislava. Alongside these routes, four additional services have been opened from today, linking the Slovak capital with Basel, Niš, Naples, and Palermo.
With these launches, the total number of new destinations added in this phase stands at seven, all operated by Wizz Air. The routes collectively broaden access to Southern, Western, and Northern European cities from Bratislava, reinforcing the airport’s role as a departure point for international travel.
