It's Saturday, and the last one before Christmas. Have you all finished preparing for the big day, or are you still shopping, decorating, wrapping and card writing? What will you be doing today? Here's the thread to tell us.

  1. Xmas shopping – all of it today in one go. Seeing family tomorrow so need to do it all today. Hellish Nightmare.

  2. Having my first coffee of the day with all the Christmas lights twinkling and cuddling the little one. We’ll do some wrapping and cleaning later before the first of the family visits tomorrow.

Hard to believe it’s Christmas next week. I love this time of year but things have been so manic with having a baby and moving house, time seems to have shot by in a blur. Hopefully watching some Christmas films later will help get me into the spirit. Happy Saturday everyone!

  3. Contemplating the fact I have to get a secret Santa gift to give on Monday for a person I speak to maybe once every 3 weeks, for 30 seconds. I’m thinking a trip to farm foods for chocolate and sweets.

  4. Last swimming lesson of the year for The Boy. He is of an age where he’s nearly finished all available classes (into the last set) and after 8 years I might actually get my Saturday mornings back.

    It is the weirdest feeling.

  5. Been to see my “not my cat” cats, a pleasure as always. Might go for a swim in a few minutes, might go later as we are supposed to be going to see “The Polar Express” at the cinema this morning, so maybe not enough time for swimming beforehand.

This afternoon I need to clear my house up as it looks like a bomb has hit it. Need to declutter and take some stuff to the charity shops.

It’s going to be a busy day.

  6. We’ve travelling to see my wonderful in-laws today – it’s a 5 hour journey and I get quite overstimulated on public transport, but I know I can do it ❤️

We’re there for two whole weeks, so we can just relax and put away responsible adult mode for a while!

  7. Gonna do some wrapping today, been unwell passed few days and in bed a lot so be good to get something done. Seeing as there’s very little on Xmas tv this year, and I want to feel more festive im going to try find some older Xmas stuff to watch. Maybe watch some Xmas specials from some of my favourite tv series. Maybe an old dr who episode. Will also watch some of those M.R James ghost stories at some point. Got a dvd of some of them, there’s also one showing Xmas eve so that’ll be good

  8. Up and about to head in the shower.

Husband off for hair doing at half 8, shopping coming between 9-10, youngest hair at 10, Aldi party food shop as hosting the first of many Xmas parties, my fingers and trotters doing at 1, back to cook, party starts at 4.

Gotta make the beds as the eldest has taken himself from Yorkshire to Southampton for a museum (Bovingdon I think)

Oooooh and I need Ice for the cocktails
