Feds pave the way for Big Tech to plug data centers right into power plants in scramble for energy

1. Data centers are going to be a very big problem For the energy grid They’re going to gobble up energy whenever they like And when they totally screw up We are all going to get the bill and Big Tech along with Trump Will not lose anything They have already agreed to it

2. They are going to need lots of energy. They will make the wealthy tech bros even richer. Do we make them pay for it or not? My bet is no. They will get to shift the cost. At least done states are trying.

3. Why should consumers foot the bill in terms of increased energy prices? Tech bros can build out their own grid if they would like, not like they can’t afford it.

4. People keep complaining that solar and wind have to be curtailed and cause negative pricing because of an over supply. Doesn’t that mean that these data centers will mean that energy never goes negative because someone will always buy it?

   A single residential swimming pool that gets used by ONE household as a luxury item has the same energy and water consumption as several thousand cloud users at a data center.

5. When your job gets replaced by a shitty AI running out of these power hungry data centers you can’t afford to pay the rate anyway. Just move to a shantytown proactively.

6. Save the donors. Screw the voters.
