We're just days away from the big one now, so if you haven't got everything you need, you'd better start getting a move on. For now, grab yourself a nice hot drink (with a dash of Bailey's because it's Christmas), and tell us what you're doing today.

I booked a yoga class for 10am so that Iām hoping will be a nice soft wake up for the day.
Have bought all my presents so need to just pop them into gift bags(gave up on wrapping things years ago,now just get artful with tissue paper).
Otherwise no plans for today so a very relaxed Sunday planned indeed!
Working. Bah humbug.
Going to see my mum pre-Christmas. Have presents to take.
Meantime, nobody wants to get up early and my wife’s car needs to be taken for its MOT, so I’ll be doing that shortly, with a trudge home afterwards.
But she has given me something in return… her cold. Bleurgh. Happy Sunday!
I have an eye test later this morning in town so we’re going to make a day of it. Grab some lunch and go to the Christmas markets after although they’re pretty shit haha. Probably just have a couple of beers!
I wrote a list of all the things I need to do, just added the heading tomorrow so lower peoples expectations.
Going to the nature reserve for a long walk instead as woke with the black cloud
Have a good day peoples
Managed to motivate myself to lift some weights this morning, also gonna go for a nice walk shortly, weather said a nice morning this morning, it’s been raining since I got up at 5.
Mrs is doing a fry up this morning instead of the usual Sunday roast, we figure we’ll see enough roast meat come Christmas, rest of day I’m doing sweet feck all, started a chocolate orange last night, only managed half so will finish that after, gone are the days I could do a full one in one sitting
Spending the day packing in preparation for travel for Christmas tomorrow, then going to a friendās for Christmas dinner and a couple of drinks in the evening.
Work, bah humbug too.
I finish at 12, so after work I’m going into town for a coffee and cake, then gift shopping. I don’t have much to do, just bits. Anything I don’t get today I’ll finish off tomorrow. The most important thing for today is getting something for my friend who I won’t see again until after Christmas.
When home, if it’s light I’ll take my dog for a walk. If it’s getting dark we’ll take her out later. There’s an estate in the village that goes all out for decorations, we call it the Disney walk at Christmas. We always do that walk on Christmas Eve, and the run up to it.
Tonight I’ll make something for tea, no idea what yet, then settle in front of the fire either reading or watching TV.
I’ve got 4 days off after today, which I’m really looking forward to.
Going with Child1 to see some football. Child2 doesn’t want to go, so he’s staying home with husband who is roasting lamb for when we get back.
I bribed my son with Minecoins to write nice cards for the family. He did a great job on the cards so now he’s playing Minecraft while I read my book. Obviously this is not excellent parenting, but we gave some of them out yesterday and they were happy with the drawings and messages he’d done so it’s worth it in my opinion!!
After another coffee I’ll be getting dressed so I can start putting these shelves together in the wardrobe and then I can put all my clothes back in. This afternoon I’m getting a haircut while the other half takes kiddo to the cinema.
First day of annual leave so getting dogs fed and out then go back to bed til around 12pm. Got my flu/covid jags this afternoon so will fire up The Sims 3 with some Xmas movies on in the background. Tonight the big food shop is being delivered so need to clear out the fridge before hand
Best friend is coming over for a nostalgic Christmas TV day. Gonna watch some Two Ronnies, Flint Street Nativity, old Top of the Pops.
For lunch I’ve just put some sourdough in the oven to dip into a baked camembert, and for dinner I’ve got a big pork joint with a lovely big strip for crackling.
I *always*, work up until Christmas eve, so this is the first year for ages I’ve got s lovely chunk of time to get all festive!
Going to see partner’s elderly nan for a nice Sunday lunch, then partner will be going home for Christmas with their dad. I still have to work (well, “work”) on Monday and on Tuesday morning, so I won’t be heading back to my parents until Tuesday afternoon.
Outside of that, picking up my last couple of click and collect presents from down the road and wrapping them ready to take back home, and if I have the motivation I might also make cookies, but I can see that being a Monday task!
Seeing the mil this morning, then the park. This afternoon I’m taking the boy to my parents to do wrapping and bake whilst other half tidies our house.
Then tonight is my works Christmas party, which I’m actually looking forward to.
Travelling back from early Christmas with my dad. Then sorting out my big Christmas shop delivery for tomorrow – I know I’ve forgotten something but I have no idea what!
Feel like I’ve barely slept, although Husband assures me I was snoring a fair amount so must have been asleep at some point.
We’re making our way home today and then I will be becoming one with the sofa this evening.
Hated my alarm going off this morning for work š„²
Sat under a blanket on the sofa watching Muppets Christmas Carol while my dog snoozes next to me unleashing absolutely hellish farts at alarming volume (both amount and noise).
We have some people coming over to pick up/drop off presents, but I donāt plan on doing much- did the big kitchen tidy yesterday & changed the bedding, so just a general tidy of the rest of the house to go!
I rarely get a day off with the fella on a weekend so should be doing something exciting and worthwhile shouldn’t I??? Can’t really think of anything so im still in bed.
Thank you to everyone who avoided using the M1 and M6 yesterday as my journey up north was quite quiet and uneventful (aside from those drivers who seem to have forgotten how to a) indicate, b) how to change lanes properly and c) have any sort of lane discipline).
The cold is definitely on its last legs and I finally managed to get more than 4 hours kip last night.
Today, I shall be going out and finding a WWII air raid siren that is in the village I grew up in and never knew was there, despite probably walking past it 1000 times growing up.
Gotta assemble a bed and do all my wrapping today! I made the mistake of spending a lot of effort on a secret Santa gift wrap earlier in the month which got a lot of compliments on the look and feel, so of course I had to do it for all of them…
Oh well, it does feel lovely seeing them all looking fancy under the tree!
No taste in this garment!
Got the 6 hour drive to the parents today. My partner had his christmas work do last night so I think I’ll be doing most of the drive whilst he gets over his hangover.
I’m late to the party but started playing Among Us at my sons insistence. This is class
Off to do some family tech support (grandmothers phone), however, she has also offered to have the kids for a few hours as payment so the wife and I can go do some last minute shopping or go and have lunch somewhere.
Laying in bed angry because on Tuesday I sprained my ankle. Now I can’t walk.Ā
I’ve got family coming round, so tidying up a bit and doing a load of jacket potatoes and fixings. Then a few hours chilling and chatting with everyone. Looking forward to seeing my brother, his partner, and her daughter. I’ve not got in the Christmas mood yet, so hopefully this will help!
Going for a run, then wrapping presents.
2 more days of work to go⦠then āItās only one more sleep ātil Christmasssssssā!
Edit: also, I am **so glad** we are halfway through the darkness, and now every day will get a little lighter. Fuck SAD!
Travelling back home to see the family for Christmas which Iām looking forward to, but keeping everything crossed that my train doesnāt get cancelled (Sundays are notorious for it š)Ā and my landlord decided that four days before Christmas would be the absolute best time to email me and let me know that heās putting my rent up š
Have overtime that I agreed to do later so the errands I need to run this morning have a timescale on them. Only three more work days until 3 off. Apparently it’s something important in a few days š
Still in bed.
Got a freezer to move into our new utility room, a beef brisket to sear and slow cook, and then sine stuff in the garden.
Glad itās the shortest day, onwards and upwards from here.
Gotta deep clean the house today though thankfully Iām feeling better after the flu. Couple more Christmas presents to wrap and bags to pack ready to travel home on Xmas Eve morning then Iām all set!
