A look inside Sandringham house, where the royals spend Christmas

  1. Sandringham feels the most windsor-esque of all the royal residences.

  2. It’s a spooky looking place. One of the royals should do some ghost story’s or gothic romances.

  3. It looks like Vicki and Albert literally just went out and will be back any minute. I love the aesthetic but it must get really old always being in such dated spaces.

  4. It’s less stuffy and much brighter than I imagined. I’d happily join them.

  5. Lots of lovely grand pianos. It’s a pity that nobody in the royal family is a brilliant pianist to play on them.

  6. It’s pretty but all I can think of is how stressful they must be to hang out with.

  7. Okay, I had a lot of respect for the Queen but as a rider, I find her setup in the first pic questionable. I’m not a fan of a standing martingale anyway but used with a pelham is a bit much.

If your horse is a head tosser, figure out why he’s tossing his head.

All right, I’ll leave now. 😛

  8. like, why do these people have everything for no reason ?

  9. I enjoy looking at the photos, the architecture and all the stuff, the history, but can’t imagine actually living there.

  10. I have maybe a stupid question but … If you are a child of a monarch or hair to trone and you want plaster the walls in your room with posters or paint them black because you are an edgy teen … Can you do it?

  11. Dustmite-wise, I don’t feel safe looking at these pics without my epi-pen.

  12. I love all the architectural details, the moldings, etc, in older buildings like this

  13. The furniture arrangement in all the sitting rooms is so odd, especially that first one.

  14. Andrew’s new forever home looks cozy. I’m sure he will do loads of sleepover here rather then the shack the RF claims he’s going I actually live in.

  15. I spent a lot of my youth in Norfolk and have a vague recollection of doing this tour. Unlike some places with royal history which are quite cosy or interesting (Osborne, Glamis, Windsor) Sandringham is boring as f*ck and I also remember it being quite dark and gloomy. Each to their own I suppose.

  16. God that green is stunning. As an interior design major these pics look straight from the architecture/interior design history books i had to study for classes (they probably are.) i love all the details idc!!
