Canada is the biggest export market for this stuff (as it was the biggest trading partner for the US) and Canadians aren’t having it for a lot of reasons, the tariffs being only one of them.

This will not register with the MAGA folks. MAGA, at this point, is completely willing to cut off their noses despite their faces to own the left or centre-left. It’s quite remarkable and sad to see this level of polarisation and animosity. It’s almost as if they are addicted to hardship.
As a Canadian, I often ask myself and wonder; Why is it so diabolical to have a social safety net in place to look after all of your citizens? These are our own people…Canadians. All of us, in this together! We are not socialist or communist. Far from it. We just want what is best for our people. Dignity and respect….full stop. That is who we strive to be.
The sad irony is that America has a social safety net already in place to look after those in need…and those who need it the most are the ones who oppose it. It’s absolute Orwellian insanity, IMO.
I am happy to pay taxes that benefit all Canadians, regardless of their stripe, creed or background. I honestly do not understand this American MAGA mindset.
