Every curry night is basically a battle between my heart wanting korma and my brain screaming vindaloo bravery.
So true.
I’ve never ordered poppadoms but always received them.
My Chinese advertises free prawn crackers. I’ve ordered none before. I’ve ordered one before. I’ve ordered two before. I only ever get one. I want to know if it’s the free one or if it’s the ones I am paying for.
I fail to see the problem. Just order them. You will either get poppadoms, or lots of poppadoms. Win-double win.
My local usually chucks in a couple extra. Seems to be if I order as late as possible they throw more in, but it’s always a risk.
Do I order 3 and end up getting 5? Or order 1 and hope I get 3, but risk disappointment?
My local has always thrown poppadoms in with our order. Until today I’d always felt special for that.
One near us gives free poppadoms after £20 spend and 2 free bahjis after a £30 spend but never BOTH like you might expect, if you go past £30, you lose the poppadoms.
ask?
Frankly the toughest decision one will ever make
The worst part is when you ask for them and you get them for free as well, like dude let me know!
If its a good spot, if they know you, if you order over a certain amount. You will get free poppadoms or onion bajis
My local charges 80p for a singular poppadom, I refuse to pay that for one crisp, used to get 8 for free at my last place with pickles if I spent over 15/20quid
At my Indian it’s very simple – they give one more poppadum than you order, as long as you order one. It’s not written anywhere, but it’s always been like that. Local Chinese and prawn crackers on the other hand – random.
They used to be free with every order – now they are like £2 each ðŸ˜
Once ordered ‘poppadom’ with an Indian. We received exactly one poppadom. Never went back, it wasn’t a cheap takeaway and if you’re gonna be stingy with the poppadoms, we’ll go elsewhere
