Cyprus Airways launches new direct Larnaca–Crete route

Cyprus Airways has launched a new service directly linking Cyprus with Crete.

The Cypriot carrier is connecting the airports of Larnaca and Iraklio, and celebrated the premiere of the service in the presence of the deputy ministers of Tourism of Cyprus, Kostas Koumi, and of Greece, Anna Karamanli, as well as other officials.

Karamanli flew from Larnaca to Iraklio herself, stating that “the direct link of Larnaca with Iraklio strengthens the connectivity of Greece with Cyprus and creates new options for year-round tourism.

Crete is evolving into a modern, international destination with strong travel activity off the peak months too, with upgraded infrastructures and, soon enough, with the new airport at Kastelli,” near Iraklio.
