I’ll be flying in tomorrow morning! Hope it’ll be just as quiet then.
I used to work at Manchester Airport in 2018 and there were very few flights, no departures, only a handful of arrivals, I worked for Jet2 (they self handle) and did an Xmas day 4 hour shift just to be on hand in case anything happened, there were no flights to handle.
The 13th busiest airport in Europe and no direct flights by Aer Lingus between here and Asia,South America or Australia
I sound very boomerish but I love that we do still shutdown so much just for the one day.

Huh 13th that is madness, and I presume that’s because of stopovers from and to the Americas?

Must be lovely to have that huge runway all to yourself.
Closed for 29 hours to be exact
Can you still go inside? Is anything open?
