Prince Louis never fails to live up to his unofficial title as the cheekiest young royal and Christmas Day was no exception.
The seven-year-old prince left crowds laughing at the traditional Sandringham walkabout after failing to contain his excitement over a Christmas present.
Louis trailed behind his dad, Prince William, as they greeted the crowd when his dad was handed a gift that caught Louis’ eye.

The gift was a giant Lindt Ball, wrapped in red, gold and white.
William accepted the chocolate gift but as soon as the crowd member said, “That’s for Louis”, the young prince snatched it from his dad’s hands.
In a video captured of the momentLouis then walked away, cradling the gift in his arm and doing a spin, seemingly thrilled the present was his.
“I thought that might happen,” William quipped as he watched his son’s cheeky display and the crowd laughed.

Louis then returned to his dad’s side as William stroked his son on the head.
“That’s very kind, thank you very much,” the future king said as he accepted more gifts and cards from the crowd.
William then wished the crowd, “Merry Christmas,” before moving on to greet others.
Louis followed in his father’s footsteps, sharing his Christmas well wishes before moving down the pathway – his chocolate gift still firmly in his grasp.

Earlier in the morning, he was also captured carrying a giant teddy bear.
Along with his father, Louis was also joined by his mother Catherine, the Princess of Wales and his older siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
While Louis’ signature playfulness left crowds laughing, Princess Charlotte showed her gentle nature as she was seen giving a “big hug” to a wheelchair-using crowd member, per The Telegraph.
“Charlotte was amazing. I said Merry Christmas and she said thank you and gave me a big hug,” the crowd member told the publication.

George, Charlotte and Louis were showered with numerous gifts from the crowd, with police officers reportedly stepping in regularly to help them carry their gifts.
The Wales family enjoyed the traditional Christmas morning outing with other members of the royal family, including King Charles III, Queen Camilla, Princess Anne and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.
