The Africa Cup of Nations begins in Morocco on December 21. Half a century after its only success in the competition, its host is the overwhelming favorite. The four-week tournament has been framed as a high-visibility dress rehearsal for the World Cup in 2030, when Morocco will be one of the main hosts. Senegal is also looking to win its second AFCON, while the Ivory Coast dreams of winning it twice in a row – which would be a first.
