A terrorist on Friday rammed an all-terrain into an Israel Defense Forces vehicle carrying soldiers in the Adoraim area, located in the Hebron Hills in Judea, the military said.

The suspect was apprehended and transferred to the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) for further questioning.

No IDF injuries were reported.

Roadblocks were being set up in the area, the statement added.

Also on Friday, the IDF announced that forces from the Meitar Unit (Unit 427), which specializes in operating unique weapon systems, under the command of the Artillery Corps’ 214th Special Fire Brigade, completed a first-of-its-kind readiness exercise in Judea and Samaria and the Jordan Valley, during which the unit’s unique “exposure-and-strike” capabilities were practiced.

The exercise included emergency scenarios across multiple sectors simultaneously, including spontaneous incidents, mass-casualty events, terrorist infiltrations and coordination with other forces, while operating the remotely piloted Skylark drones, known in Hebrew as “Sky Riders,” to locate enemy targets and close artillery circles of fire.

The Meitar Unit provides brigade- and division-level commanders with an aerial situational picture and supports real-time operational decision-making.

Overnight Wednesday, Israeli troops thwarted a planned attack when they captured four terrorists in western Samaria, the military said.

The terrorists were apprehended in the Jayyus area near Qalqilya, with the Israel Defense Forces saying that they “operated to advance terrorist activities in the area and planned to execute a terror attack.”

Three other terrorists were arrested near Kifl Haris and Deir Istiya after they threw rocks at vehicles on a main road.
