This was an interesting story, I thought, and also a picture of one of the goofiest fossil animals I’ve ever seen.
The man who made the discovery of this shark, the fossil hunter Stan Wood, was also a very interesting person. Made a whole bunch of great discoveries of fossils, massively expanding scientific knowledge, all whilst being largely self-taught.
