A limited leadership reshuffle has been implemented across Egypt’s petroleum refining and manufacturing companies to fill key vacancies within the sector. Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi announced the move as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen management structures and support operational efficiency in the downstream oil and gas industry.

The reorganization includes the appointment of Rashad Nazim Hassan as Chairman of Nasr Petroleum Company (NPC) and Mohamed Abdallah Hassan Mohamed as Chairman and Managing Director of Assiut National Oil Processing Company (ANOPC).

Hassan joined the technology sector at NPC in 1995 and advanced to General Manager for Technology and Development, as well as a Board member, in 2017. A graduate of Suez Canal University with a degree in engineering, Hassan is recognized for his role in modernization and continuous improvement efforts within the company.

Mohamed, who previously served as Chairman of El Nasr Petroleum Company since 2019, began his career at Cairo Oil Refining Company (CORC) in 1999. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering, earned in 1990, and has held several senior technical roles, including General Manager of Utilities and Technical Services, before his latest appointment at ANOPC.
