Claire Martin, an assistant professor in Webster University’s Department of Professional Counseling, recently shared her work on trauma-informed care at an international conference in Romania.

Martin presented at the 66th Annual European Branch of the American Counseling Association Conference in Timisoara. In one session, she discussed the importance of ethnocultural empathy when working with clients from marginalized communities.

In a second presentation, co-led with Professor Jennifer Culver, Martin focused on group counseling approaches that help communities heal and stay connected amid injustice and geopolitical conflict.
