It’s amazing how eggs were originally used as shorthand for consumer prices in general, but conservative media and their talking heads latched on to that so it became literally *just* the price of eggs. Conservative voters responded in kind and likewise fixated on the price of eggs alone. Shamazing the administration could hold that up as some kind of ‘win’ to offset the flaming dumpster fire of everything else in the Trump economy, and the voters just lapped it up. “Yeah, but have you seen how cheap eggs are now????”
I live near egg farms, so they are cheap for us right now. The price of eggs here is not because of trump policies. It’s just a situation he has not fucked up yet.
