  1. Feels pretty wild that the US can just blacklist an ex, EU official and everyone shrugs. At minimum, the EU could demand a clear public explanation from Washington before letting this slide.

  5. If The EU officials can count on their fingers they just need to bloc 4 US current administration individuals who are regular visitors to the EU for personal reasons. That said, France should be the one to start it.

  6. I can barely understand the implications of what is happening due to the volume of bad news I hear every single day regarding m US-European diplomacy.

    All I know is that I as a liberal American absolutely loved Europe every time I have been there. I give money directly to Ukraine. I love liberal European culture. This breaks my heart every day and I don’t know what to do.

Thierry Breton is the author of the DSA, he tried to use it to censor Trump during the American elections and is now crying because, due to his interference in the U.S. elections, he ended up getting banned, I think even if you really like his censorship machine you cannot deny that trying to ban the interview of a presidential candidate is electoral interference.

    He is the same individual who [publicly bragged about having exerted pressure to have the results of the elections in Romania annulled](https://www.europarl.europa.eu/doceo/document/E-10-2025-000278_EN.html) so electoral interference is his bread and butter.

    I don’t know if you’ve seen the list of [“trusted flaggers”](https://digital-strategy.ec.europa.eu/en/policies/trusted-flaggers-under-dsa), do you realise that it’s just a new fancy name to avoid calling them censors, right? In all of this the EU political leaders are actively [gaslighting the public](https://x.com/vonderleyen/status/2003818915483517175) trying to appeal to a nationalistic sentiment claiming that actually, pointing out that they are censors is the real violation to the freedom of speech that is so dear to them.

    You are ruled by people lying to your face and slowly taking away your rights piece by piece, first with the non-mandatory chat control, but officiously mandatory if they classify you as high-risk at their discretion; now with this. And all they have to do to make you accept it is to say a couple of lies in public. Have you ever heard of the boiling frog?

  21. I don’t care, Romanians (and not only us) have needed visas for the US and “the bloc” didn’t react, so why should I care that the US impose visas for some EU chieftain? Good for them!
