The City of White House is reminding residents that a special census is currently underway, with U.S. Census Bureau workers conducting door-to-door visits throughout the community through the end of January.
City officials say the effort is critical to ensuring an accurate population count, which directly affects state-shared revenue, long-term planning, and funding for essential services as White House continues to grow. Census workers may be seen visiting neighborhoods daily as part of the official data collection process.
Residents are encouraged to participate by answering the door, providing household information, and encouraging neighbors to do the same. Census representatives will be visiting homes between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.
To help residents identify legitimate census workers, officials say they will carry a photo identification badge with their name, photo, U.S. Department of Commerce watermark, and expiration date. Workers will also have an official Census-issued bag and device displaying the Census logo. Census employees will never ask for money, Social Security numbers, or banking information.
City leaders emphasize that every response helps ensure White House receives the resources it needs to support its residents, infrastructure, and future growth.
