  1. Woah! What? Someone just said in the other thread he’s the longest serving AW staff

  2. Because he and his partner had a baby and want to raise their child in the UK. At least, that’s what I read.

  3. Is it just me, or does he resemble the Earl Spencer?

  4. I think people figured he had left in some form a while ago. I think he had moved back to the UK a couple months ago (and it was confirmed (?) by an outlet or something).

Allison Boshoff at the dm had the “scoop”: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/royals/article-15419425/Harry-Meghans-closest-advisor-quits-head-charity.html?ico=authors_pagination_mobile

    > When this writer asked the Sussex PR team on December 14th if Holt had left, they replied that he ‘works at and for the foundation.’

    > The following day, the Sussex lawyers were cc’d into an exchange in which the PR wrote: ‘James returned from paternity leave after three months of paid leave and remains employed and actively at work.’

    > However yesterday, after renewed enquiries, they confirmed that he had indeed decided to move on from Archewell.

I do not however think it was in bad blood unlike meredith who imo was either fired or quit.

  5. I expected this tbh. They are moving in a radically different direction (that I so far can’t make heads or tails of) so new leadership isn’t shocking. But James has stuck with them through a lot. It sounds like it’s a more amicable parting than other ones have been.

James and Shauna held a lot of work for the Foundation…I’m curious if Shauna is still there.

  6. I have no ideia what’s going on behind the scenes, but they really need to do something to keep their staff happy and stop these endless articles that make them look like a nightmare to work with. Come on, it’s not that hard to be a decent employer.

  7. I hate when employees of celebrities end up with their photos and lives across the papers as private citizens.

  8. Totally normal, they just had a kid and want to raise the kid in the UK. He’s been with them ages and this is a pretty amicable parting.

All over the world in any company people move for life reasons.

  9. James holt has been with them since they left RF in 2019 ( he used to work for H at Royal Foundation before) so him leaving means there is no old employee left with them.

  10. Omg…that’s a huge news. He has been there since day 1. Seems like H&M are rebrsnding big time.

  11. Considering he was one of the few employees that has stuck with them for years, that must be a big professional and personal loss for them. But can’t blame him. Given the state of things in this country, I’d much rather go raise my child in England too.

So this means Archewell is down to one remaining employee? I believe when last week’s cuts were announced, James and Shauna Nep were the only two remaining employees. I guess it’ll be up to Shauna to turn out the lights.

Hello, everyone! How are you today? Any good work drama? 🤗

  13. How many employees do they have left at this point? Between their only longterm employee leaving and the strange restructuring it doesn’t sound great.

  14. This is probably a nothingburger but the fact that this wasn’t timed better with the other staff changes is yet another PR fail for them.

  15. It’s probably nothing since Archewell is restructuring and changing direction, but not good timing for them I guess.

  16. They’re the gift that keeps on giving the whole year!

  17. Jobs like that are stressful, this means nothing

  18. He’s moving back to London because he and his husband just had a baby.

    From Holt’s own statement:

He will continue to be an advisor for Archewell Philanthropies and oversee planned humanitarian trips in 2026

  19. Every single time one of these stories breaks there are comments here “well he is moving back to the UK” “their contract was up” “they’re moving on to a different company”- what have you. And perhaps when you examine each situation individually there are plausible explanation for the departures but I’m genuinely asking, at what point does the sheer volume of these resignations make one pause and note the single common denominator?

  20. James has been with them for a very long time and is like their one long term employee they have been with and there’s been no bad juju.

I think this is just a money thing – i assume they don’t have the cash to pay him FT anymore / make it worth it for him to stay in Cali
