A Christmas market welcomed guests, featuring traditional dishes and the gastronomic heritage of Moldova’s regions, as well as performances by folk and children’s groups with carols, Shchedrivky, and Christmas songs, stage productions and a theatrical performance “The Snow Queen” featuring children.

The event concluded with a joint performance of “Shchedryk” by Mykola Leontovych as a symbol of Ukrainian culture and the indomitable spirit.

In his speech, Paun Rogovey greeted the little Ukrainians and their parents who found shelter from the war in hospitable Moldova, as well as Moldovan children with Christmas and New Year celebrations, urging us to remember the Ukrainian soldiers, whose feats allow us to greet a peaceful day under a peaceful sky.

«At the Christmas table, I ask you in a quiet prayer to remember our defenders, who, at the cost of their own lives, bring about a just peace in Ukraine»
