We first ducked into the Lorne Bar in Oban to grab a pint and avoid the rain. There was such a beautiful place. We stayed for dinner and the food was amazing. On my way out I saw this wee cù hopefully waiting for a treat.

Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Oban. Doesn’t have the view but the dinner & lunch menus are worth it if you want a decent meal of seafood or pub fare that’s done really well.
They used to have a food menu for dugs a few years ago – butchers sausage, Bakers Meaty Meats, and even dug beer.
My mate is the pub quiz compere in the Lorne (I used to do it week about with him 8-9 years ago but had to give it up) the latest corporate overlords have put the kibosh on the quiz now too…first they came for the dug menu and I said nothing because I wasn’t a dug…
I got drunk there but it was about 30 years ago. He’ll of a night if I remember correctly. I distinctly remember a guy with a fiddle and another on the bodrahn

This is such a fantastic pic. I love Oban and although I have only been in the Lorne bar, once or twice, they do great grub!
Some nice food in there. It’s expensive for a swally though. Usually myaelf and the wife only have 2 or 3 when touring the boozers.
