One dead after crash on State Highway 26, Hauraki

One person has died following a single-vehicle crash in Hauraki this morning.

Police were notified of the incident on the intersection of State Highway 26 and Cadman Road, Tirohia, at about 12.40am.

Despite efforts from emergency services, the occupant of the vehicle died at the scene.

“The Serious Crash Unit have conducted a scene examination, and inquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing,” police said.

“The road is expected to remain closed for a short time longer while other agencies work at the scene.”
