On December 28, 2025, an illegal migrant vessel carrying seventy-eight (78) migrants was turned over to the Turks and Caicos Islands Border Force by the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RTCIPF) on the island of Providenciales.

All individuals were transported to the Detention Centre, where they were processed. Interviews, and repatriation arrangements are currently underway, in accordance with the laws of the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Additionally, In the early morning hours of December 30, 2025, Border Force a responded to two migrant vessels landings on the island of Providenciales. The number of illegal migrants landed is currently unconfirmed at this time, however; immediate enforcement and intelligence-led actions were activated.

The Director General of the Turks and Caicos Islands Border Force, Mr. Emilio Seymour, attended one of the landing sites this morning alongside members of the Border Force leadership team to assess the situation firsthand and to direct the operational response.

“Let me be clear, illegal migration will not be tolerated in the Turks and Caicos Islands. Border Force is actively pursuing those who enter our country ILLEGALLY , and we will continue to locate, detain, and repatriate individuals in accordance with the law. Our presence will be visible, our actions decisive, and our commitment unwavering,” said Director General Emilio Seymour.

Active operations remain ongoing to locate, apprehend, and process individuals who entered the country in violation of immigration laws. As part of these coordinated efforts, residents can expect to see a heightened and sustained Border Force presence across affected communities, as the Border Force continues its mission to address and eliminate illegal migration throughout the Turks and Caicos Islands.

The Border Force reminds the public that harbouring, transporting, or employing persons unlawfully present in the Turks and Caicos Islands is a criminal offence and will be met with firm enforcement action.
