Players from the 2026 U.S. National Junior hockey team spoke with KSTP Sports on Tuesday afternoon at Grand Casino Arena.

Will Zellers, a Maple Grove native and North Dakota forward, discussed the 6-5 victory over Slovakia Monday, how the team had confidence in itself following a 2-0 first period deficit, his confidence in his game, how much confidence matters, playing for Team USA being from Minnesota, and what the in-game fan atmosphere is like as a player.
Defenseman Adam Kleber, a Chaska native and UMD Bulldog, spoke about the Slovakia victory, the team’s mentality going into the second period, what it is like representing Team USA at Grand Casino Arena being from Minnesota, and the in-game atmosphere.
The U.S. is 3-0 and will play its fourth and final preliminary round contest Wednesday against Sweden at 5 p.m. at Grand Casino Arena.
The U.S. is already in Friday’s quarterfinals, so Wednesday’s game is for seeding purposes.
