Romania and Croatia have officially announced that they will join NATO’s PURL program, an initiative to purchase weapons from the United States to support Ukraine in its fight against aggression.

This program aims to provide military equipment and modern weapons to the armies of NATO member countries supporting Ukraine, increasing their defensive capacity and effectiveness on the ground.

According to the announcement, Romania and Croatia will purchase weapons worth $80 million for the first shipment, including various weapons that could be used on the Ukrainian front.

This decision comes as part of coordinated efforts by NATO and Western allies to strengthen Ukraine’s defenses and demonstrate their continued commitment to its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Military experts say that the purchase of these weapons by the two countries could have a significant impact on increasing Ukraine’s capacity to withstand military pressure and protect its citizens.

This is also a clear message of international cooperation and NATO solidarity towards the tense situation in the Eastern European region.

In fact, the joining of these two countries in this program also underlines the active role of Romania and Croatia as NATO members that directly contribute to regional stability and security. /Telegraph/
