A man has died after being shot in Melbourne’s inner north.
Police found the man with serious injuries near the corner of Brunswick and King William streets in Fitzroy after hearing gunshots just after midnight on Saturday.
Emergency services treated the man, who is yet to be formally identified, but he died at the scene.
A crime scene has been established and police are searching for the offenders who fled the scene in a car before they arrived.
