Toronto police say a dog has died and a pedestrian has been taken to the hospital with serious injuries after they were both struck by a vehicle this afternoon near Ontario Place.
In a post on social media, police say the incident happened at around 2:18 p.m. in the area of Lakeshore Boulevard and Remembrance Drive.
The dog was pronounced dead on the scene and the pedestrian was taken to the hospital via emergency run with serious injuries. His injuries have now been downgraded to non-life-threatening.
The driver remained on the scene.
