According to a statement, the districts of Guarda, Castelo Branco, Coimbra, Leiria, Lisbon, Setúbal, Beja, and Faro are under alert due to south/southeast winds, with gusts that can reach 110 kilometres per hour (km/h) in the highlands.
In addition, a yellow warning has also been issued due to rough seas, with waves that can reach a height of 2.5 meters, in the Faro district.
The heavy rainfall, which may be accompanied by thunderstorms, also led the IPMA to issue an alert for the districts of Lisbon, Setúbal, Beja, and Faro.
