Heavy snowfall covered Luxembourg this Friday, severely disrupting traffic conditions under a yellow alert issued by Meteolux.
The alert issued by Meteolux on Friday applied to the entire country from 10am until 5pm, with snow that reaching 1 to 3 centimeters, especially in areas above 300m altitude. The warning was lifted on Friday evening, and no further alert is planned for Saturday except for the occasional snow flakes. However, temperatures will drop to as low as -4°C on Saturday, with a wind chill making it feel even colder.

While the Grand Duchy’s motorways were not snow-covered, many secondary roads had not been cleared. Near Beaufort, a bus missed a turn and crashed into a safety barrier. At least five accidents were recorded in the afternoon, leaving three people injured.
